Winter in Athens

here's OU's first snow! it was gorgeous at the time, until it lasted a month! that wasn't fun! and our pipes froze. we had to leave the water running so the company only charged us the minimum for water that month. otherwise it would have been ridiculously expensive!

so i've learned a lot:)

i have the text and video and pics down now:) this has been a helpful class that i want to keep up with. since web is the way businesses are going in the future, it seems like a reasonable idea to keep what i've learned fresh in my mind. i do want to be marketable! i did learn a lot, considering i knew nothing regarding computer code or anything else prior to this class. it wasn't as hard as i thought it would be. although i'm not so sure i want it as a 40 hour a week job. i would get really good at this code stuff if i did that though.
i really do like flash and being able to animate things, then bringing them into the site. i should try doing it on my own sometime. i think i'll try to learn the program this summer:) it was easier than i expected as well.

new beginnings

I really want a new hairstyle the day after graduation. new starts require new hairstyles! I will try to find ideas and post them.

almost at the end...

5 more days of work left, then I'm out of a job. Although it's minimum wage and obviously not a keeper, it doesn't mean I want to quit. I want to have another job before I quit, but it looks like that won't be happening yet. I haven't really gotten around to finding a "real job." The next thing to do after college. Might as well take some time off and enjoy the summer since from now on, the most I will get is a measly 2 weeks vacation. That I probably won't want to take all at once or I'll be swamped when I return to work. But since I am still in college, I am not going to think too far ahead to those things. Not until they start happening. In a few weeks...

canoeing!

Sooo....
I had a good holiday weekend. Wish it had been longer though. Went to Stroud's twice. That place is beautiful. Can't believe we just discovered it this quarter and have been here 4 years. We have been missing out on the fun of Stroud's. Good thing I took that canoeing class. Speaking of canoeing, we all got to do rescues the other day. It was warm and sunny out, so the water felt great. It was the first time we were all tipping out and enjoying the water. In every other previous class, it has been too cold. The first Thursday of the quarter, I think it was 20 degrees outside and we couldn't even go out. There have been plenty of cool and windy days, but it's still pretty fun.
